Art Kansas City

Working closely with the creative director, the art director will develop and communicate artistic vision to the production team. Inspirational and visionary, the art director will grow and empower the art team to deliver a unique aesthetic that enhances the gameplay experience.

Responsibilities

• Create art assets that inspire the team to bring their best.
• Work with the creative director to identify artistic goals of each game and the company as a whole.
• Maintain and communicate graphic style and goals to the team.
• Assist the project manager in the selection of resources and setting production schedules.
• Ensure quality, consistency and compliance of the graphic production throughout the production process.
• Participate in the development of new graphic techniques.
• Work with the art leads to identify efficient workflows.
• Maintain a consistent aesthetic across all games.

Requirements

• Thoroughly understand artistic techniques related to game production.
• Enjoy being on the leading edge of technologies.
• Ability to derive an artistic style from market objectives.
• Ability to communicate vision clearly and concisely.
• Ability to merge your vision with others, and scale that appropriately with limited resources.
